IMYC have some money to bless those who have been/want to impact their communities, beyond their own church family and are directly serving others/sharing their faith with others. 
 
There are two ways to apply for a grant: 

1. Do you know a child, young person or young adult who has been or wants to be engaged in mission in this way and could benefit from up to £200 to enable them to continue, develop or get started? 

1. Are you a leader who is planning to organize an activity with the purpose of reaching out beyond the church family to young people and children? You can apply for a £200 one off grant to help fund this activity. 

 Examples may include.... 

Option 1:  

• Blessing neighbours, teachers, the elderly, children, young people or others in your community with a gift or doorstep delivery.  

• Organising and running a small community or neighbourhood activity (when restrictions allow). Designing, printing, posting cards 

Option 2: 

• Buying outdoors equipment such as gazebos, lighting, deckchairs etc to enable relationship building with young people over the summer.  

• Organizing a fun day/BBQ/Family event to reengage with children, young people and families loosely connected to or not connected to your church family  

• Sending a small gift to children or young people to maintain connection, reconnect and build relationship 

How do I apply?  

Option 1: Please send an email to imyc@irishmethodist.org with the name of the proposed recipient, their age, church and minister, and where they are from with a paragraph to describe what they are doing or want to do. If you are reading this and are doing something yourself, either ask someone to nominate you or contact us directly and we will work with you to get a recommendation. 

Option 2: Please send an email to imyc@irishmethodist.org with your name, the name of your church and minister (it is important that your minister is aware of your plans) and a paragraph to describe what you are planning/want to do and how you imagine you would spend the money. 

 
Deadline: Friday 11th June 2021

IMYC will consider all applications and make decisions on who we feel should be the recipients within the bounds of the money we have available. If we are oversubscribed, we reserve the right to reduce the amount granted to allow more people to receive grants. 
 
Individuals and groups will be required to produce a simple record of funds spent and receipts for IMYC’s records.
