Tackling Global Poverty
with people, not projects
As Christians, we believe everyone should be free from poverty and free to live life in all its fullness. We are led by our partners who know their context, problems and solutions, better than we ever could. They are the visionaries and it is our privilege to walk alongside them.
MYANMAR EARTHQUAKE
Through World Development & Relief, the Methodist Church in Ireland is supporting Christian Aid Ireland’s humanitarian response to the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on Friday 28 March.
Over 1,700 people have died, with many more injured. Thousands of people have been left without food, water or shelter.
WDR has already sent emergency funds of £5,000/€5,980.
