Health checks, hampers and haircuts in Guyana

As part of their annual District Conference in January the Methodist Church - Guyana District held a One Day Mission and Outreach Event at Trinity Methodist in Georgetown.

From blood pressure testing, to cancer screening, to free food hampers and haircuts, this event was a practical way for the church to connect with and care for their community.

Along with meeting practical needs, the church also provided prayer and counselling to help meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the local people.  Businesses, friends and church members gave generously to support this outreach, with everyone coming together to express the love of Jesus in their community.

We can’t wait to hear more from our brothers and sisters in Guyana as they develop their outreach in 2025!
